This bill is horrible! it was based on lies and erroneous information calling to the bleeding hearts about preventing euthanasia of animals. FACT... shelters have had a decline of animals coming into shelters over the last decade. FACT... if we have so many unwanted animals, why are shelters importing animals from other countries and other parts of the US? FACT... the numbers used for animals euthanized consisted of feral cats, owners turn ins as well as shelter animals, feral cats being over 50% of euthanized animals. FACT... the MONEY figures they used in what it costs to keep shelters open include $500,000 for artwork, $1.12 million for architectural studies. FACT... mandatory spay and neuter areas have bigger problems in non compliance after they pass, including no vaccinations and rabies becoming an issue. FACT... spay and neuter at such a young age causes numerous health issues FACT... punishing responsible breeders will not stop the people who are causing the problem now FACT...this bill takes away everyone's rights FACT... why does Levine stonewall the breeders who tried to discuss this bill with him, yet talks to commercial (puppymill) breeders FACT...
